Pulau Sibu is the inshore island, one of gazetted Marine Parks of Johor. It has many clean golden beaches, coves, turquoise warm sea water and many unexplored coral reefs. There are many accommodation which offer many sea sports activities including Snorkelling, Sport Fishing, Scuba Diving and etc. Best take-off point to the island is from Tanjung Leman, Johor. Many locals and foreign tourists enjoy the lush tropical vegetation which abounds further inland lends an air of restful ambience, beautiful sea breezes & scenery. Kelong is a Malay word to describe a form of offshore platform built predominantly with wood, and can be found in waters off Pulau Sibu, while only a handful remains around due to marine park conservation programmes.

Kelongs are built by fishermen primarily for fishing farming purposes, but nowadays main function as a tourism resort for sport fishing purposes or Rest & Relax places. They are built without the need for nails, using rattan to bind tree trunks and wooden planks together. Anchored into the sea bed using wooden piles of about 20 metres in length and driven about 6 metres into the sea, they are usually sited in shallow water.
